Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Simple Steps. Better Air. now has an updated website and a brand new blog!
Allow us to reintroduce ourselves: Simple Steps. Better Air. is a program of the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC), which is the lead air quality planning organization for the nine-county Denver Metro/North Front Range Ozone Nonattainment Area.
As an independent nonprofit created by the state, the RAQC works with Colorado’s health department and other agencies to improve air quality and protect Colorado’s health, environment, and economy through planning, policy development, program implementation, and a variety of outreach and education efforts. One of those efforts is Simple Steps. Better Air.!
We’re all about raising awareness, educating the public, and conducting outreach in our region, to reduce summer ground-level ozone pollution and improve the health of our communities. You may see us out at events in your community this summer, where you can snag a cool piece of free branded swag to wear and promote the program and our work!
On this updated website, you will find lots of information about air quality in Colorado’s Front Range region, specific information about ground-level ozone, and what you can do to help improve our air quality and protect your health. You can also sign up for our summer text and email ozone alerts, and find additional resources from our partners.
On this blog, you’ll find more detailed information on the simple steps you can take for better air, how to take them, their benefit to our air quality, and what resources and discounts might be available. We’ll answer your various air quality questions, provide updates on our work, feature our partners, and more!
Check in with us here for new posts each month, or follow us on social media, where we’ll share new blog articles. We’re on Facebook and Instagram these days (links are at the bottom of the page).
